Miscellaneous

Good morning from The Gambia!  No internet in our room so I am hunched over a low table in the lobby here.

Last week there were so many monkeys one morning as we went to breakfast, so David asked one of the staff, "What happens if I eat monkey?"  The guy laughed and said, "Everyone will laugh at you!".  So this morning that same man came to David to see if he was eating his "monkey breakfast".

Many thanks and praise to God that I am feeling much better!  I appreciate all the prayers for us; Dick too, is doing well, as is David.  God is faithful.

Now back in our room, as the I.T. guy came and got us onto another network.  A desk and A/C - the luxuries of life!

Yesterday was computer class; normally there are 13 or 14 students. There are 7 computers now, (plus Steven's in his office), so they work in groups of two, usually, with one taking a turn and the other watching or helping; then they switch.  Steven's high-school-age son Samuel, standing in the blue shirt, is good with computers, so he comes and assists.

Here are some of the students working on computers yesterday during class:

David has been reading the blog, but he has complained that there are not pictures of Cathy, so here is one from yesterday's teaching.

This is Auntie Gloria, David's assistant at SOW.  As with most AA's, she can do just about anything that needs to be done!
So this morning we had what is becoming our normal routine now, breakfast at 9, back to our room where we all have Scripture, discussion, and prayer, then work on classwork until Steven picks us up at 3:30 for class.  We return 'Home' around 9, go eat dinner, sleep, and repeat.  :)

One more item, Nana just has to share: mommy and baby, and the "Fraher Bears" - Sister, brother, and baby bear.
